Flip Light
Household objects, located in the most private spaces, are the closest to people both physically and emotionally. The interaction with objects can induce various moods and feelings in the users. This has been more obvious in the post-pandemic era where people are spending more time at home. The designs for household objects require improved aesthetics and functionalities for better user experience without the expenses of space and resources.
The Flip Light consists of two lighting zones and a soft skirt. The skirt can be flipped upwards and downwards for controlling the respective lighting zones. When flipped upwards, it acts as an ambient light. While flipped downwards, it becomes a desk lamp. The action of flipping up and down aims to induce the feelings of ‘lift up’ and ‘narrow down’ in the users.
